my baby is 8 month old and when i pass to her grandparents she crys to come back to me, she only sees them 2 times a week as she is not like this with my mum as she sees her every day but abit like it with strangers, its getting to be a problem as i feel a little embarrased and dont want to leave her as when i do she is in a right state. its probably partly my problem as i know people think so as im with her all the time and want to be, as anyone else had this problem as i feel in the middle how can i want to leave her when she gets so upset?

It's just her age. My DD was just like this at that age, screamed for people she was previously fine with. She will probably grow out of it - my DD is 11m and coming out of this stage.

Agree it is just her age. But my DD didnt like the MIL - cried all the time she held her - but when she was 2 or so, they would happily play together. I wouldnt leave her there for long very often, but that is a completely different story!

you dont think its a good idea to leave her more with them as i feel like i dont want to as she gets so upset?

In Ireland we call it 'making strange' and is very normal at that age.

Yep - exactly that. Turned 8 months and started to cry at everyone, shops, neighbours.... Now 10 months and getting a bit better. Hang in there!
