With toys it's often between 5 and 30 seconds. With a quest to do something like get at something out of reach from his cot, it could be 15 mins. Anyone else?

should have said - up until a couple of weeks ago, it was very different. So it's either just him being newly-hyper or a 10 month old thing. (Maybe to do with ability to crawl fast and pull up on EVERYTHING?)

First thought...is lo a boy???

Seriously ds 1 was like this, very difficult to keep occupied. Toys didn't interest him and all he wanted to do was climb, slove problems (Dragging chairs over to get to the back door to turn the key to get into the garden...)

It's tough but not much you can do.

Ds 2 on the other hand sits for hours with 1 toy

(Wonders what the heck ds 3 will be like when born!))

That's about right ...... 1 min for every year of their life apparently.

GreenPenguin · 28/02/2009 22:07

you serious? Or is this a funny parent joke that's passed me by?

1 minute is right
so when you need to send him to the naughty corner, that's why you do 1 minute for each year
