Ds2 is 22 months and just entering that not eating phase. The other two also went through it. I'd say a year is pretty normal

Is your ds in a bed, or cot? If shes refusing to sleep in her bed-perhaps youve recently moved her into it- maybe shes scared.Would it be worth putting her back in her cot, and trying again in a few months.(my 3.2 ds has only just gone into bed but has adjusted really well partly cos i think she wasnt ready before now, also we put a side on the bed, so she cant fall out, and i think she feels secure). If shes refusing to sleep in her cot, it is a matter of riding it out and not taking her in beside you(i know this is really tempting at 3am).Dont worry about eating properly-she will get enough nutrients from the food she does eat, to keep her going.(if shell drink milk, shell get goodness from this as well).Try not to make mealtimes a battleground-everyone will only end up stressed and upset, and dd will not eat feeling like this. Offer her small amounts and dont overwhelm her with too much choice. Some people find their child likes to graze throughout the day-my dd does this, so although we will ask her to sit at the table for dinner, its not a big deal if she doesnt, as she will ask for food throughout day if shes hungry-usually small amounts as she doesnt have a big appetite. Phases can go on for a long time, but remember she is only two-really still a baby. Sometimes it is amazing what a difference 6 months can make in terms of development.(Just read on another thread that copious amounts of wine in the evening can help so think ill try that as well).
