crying after feeding

My dd is 4 weeks old and has started becoming very upset during and after breastfeeding. It appears to be like wind, and I do stop to wind her when she squirms about. However, she continues to be very distressed after feeding and is very difficult to comfort. I am finding this very upsetting and worry it is to do with my milk. Any thoughts?

It probably is just wind. All my 3 suffered terribly with it.

Have you tried infacol (not sure if your dd is old enough yet so check the label) but I found it a big help.

Also lying them on their tummies and whilst rubbing their back seemed to be more effective than just sitting them up.

Sorry, just read your bf. Could she still be hungry?

Sure someone more qualified than me will be along in a mo!

Thanks for the advice. have started giving infacol before last couple of feeds so will keep my fingers crossed. It had been happening more in the evenings, but today has happened after last feed too, so worried in case getting worse.

It could be needing to cluster feed in the evening for a growth spurt - have you tried giving her three sides in one go?

I would post in breast and bottlefeeding to see if you can get some help in there.

thanks everyone. I will persevere!
