Toothbrushing bottom teeth

My nearly 18mo ds is quite happy having his top teeth brushed but not his bottom ones. He goes absolutely nuts and wriggles and squirms away and screams off. I end up feeling like I've somehow assulted him which isn't a nice feeling. He didn't even get bottom teeth till about a month ago - v late teether!

Anyone got any ideas?

DD hated having her teth brushed at this age. I used to make her laugh like mad then when she was laughing, brush her teeth.

Twas exhausting, but got the job done.
