Hi

DD has had a 2nd episode this week of waking up and not being able to walk properley. The 1st time was the worst as she was literally falling over when she tried to walk and was clinging on to the door frame. It gradually got better after half hour or so and she eventually was fine and I put it down to maybe a fall or she had slept on her leg in a funny position, but today she has woken up and not been able to walk normally again. Its not as bad as the first time but its like she cant bear weight...again it has worn off so I can only think that she has slept funny again but she woke up in the usual position and its now beginning to concern me. Not sure if I should take her to the drs or not or whether I should wait and see if it happens again. Any ideas or advise would be appreciated!!

Thanks guys x

my dd had a few episodes of this.
I never really got to the bottom of it. (she's 6 now). Once on holiday..she got up completely unable to bear her own weight (she was over 3 at the time). We ended up taking her to A&E. She gradually improved while we were there and they said it could have been a temporary post viral problem ...but tbh seemed as mistified as us.
. She hasn't had any problems since she was about 3 1/2

Any other ideas at all? x

DS (18mths) recently refused to walk and cried when he tried to do so. Took him to see dr. and was v. embarrassed to have it pointed out that one of his toenails was v. long and probably digging into his toe . Always a real trauma trying to clip his nails, but am going to do so religiously now!
