No, you should be worried if your son resembles Perfect Peter: a far more obnoxious character

I agree actually!

DS1 thinks Horrid Henry is unspeakably naughty and I love pretending to be horrified at what he gets up to. My DS1 also resembles HH - don't they all?

(on a serious note, I am keen for my DCs to know that I still love them even when they're being horrid - and using HH books and TV is a way to explore that concept with them in a way they understand)

well the funny thing is that ds has no insight into this and thinks HH is an awful person!

puglover - my MIL also makes me feel like crap. I have definitely decided that this WILL STOP! I just haven't decided how or when. My MIL is a bully and a snob. The bad news is that she bullies me . I really, really wish I had the courage to tell her to back off. The real truth is that I wish my DH was an orphan

my 4 year old loves HH!

he particularly likes saying "na, na, na, na, na!" to me when he is being cheeky.

i have explained to him that yes, HH is very funny, but it is not a good idea to copy him...
