My lo is 10 weeks and has decided she doesn't like her dad when she gets tried. She is fine with him when she's in 'play mode' but when she gets tired and wants to go to sleep she just will not settle for him she cries and cries hysterically but if i take her she calms straight down and goes to sleep. He is a really hands on dad, always has been, so this is quite upsetting for him and leaves me worried about leaving him on his own with her.

I think it's a phase but has anybody experienced similar things or can offer us any advice on how to deal with it?

have you tried when she cries and you take her, settling down next to her dad and letting him cuddle you at the same time? Thsis worked for us when dh came back from 6 months away and dd had forgotten him.

Hux, my ds made the same decision when he was 10 weeks old. 21m on and we still haven't sorted it (though there were good reasons we didn't try for first 19m!) We are trying atm but he has also just moved into his own bed and I think that's unsettled him so he's "forgotten" how to settle for dh. Very clingy with me atm anyway. Sigh.
