ds1 had v bad reflux but he was my first so he had my undivived and fed every 2 hours and slept on me alot of time. i have 12 week old ds who has reflux v v badky and struggling to get him into routine. he is feeding 3 hourly roughly and takes 4-5 oz on meds and is bottle fed. i try to keep awake after feed then down for a nap. the trouble is he often wakes after half hour in pain and i cant settl him to sleep again. im struggling as obv ds1 needs my attention so not feasible for ds2 to sleep on me. iknow plenty about reflux as had alot of experience so dont need advice on ref;ux just how to try keep to a routine. sometimes he manages to stay asleep for over hour by himself and others 20 mins whicj affects everything else! help!

could you try raising one end of cot?

is it possible it could be lactose intolerance? my ds2 was like this for 4/5 mths treated only for reflux i then switched him to lactose free milk under doctor and dietitian and huge improvement still did not sleep through till nearly 2 but stopped screaming in pain as often think the reflux was worse because he could not tolerate the milk so used to drink very frequently to try and ease the pain but was obviously having opposite effect.
