Teething????

I'm completely all out of ideas. Ds is 9 months and is coming along nicely. He is eating and sleeping well and is a real happy chappy. He does not appear to be ill at all at the moment, however he has projectile vomited his whole bedtime bottle of milk three out of the last four nights. He goes to bed and stettles quickly and sleeps all night. I haven't really changed anything in his diet (he's dairy intolerant but nothing new introduced recently).
He has no teeth but I can see the white line and feel the point on his bottom gum and am sure the first one is days away (He is second child so kind of know what I'm looking for).
Could the vomiting be down to teething? What do you all think and I should I be taking him to be checked out by HV or doctor?

Forgot to mention that his nappies are green, loose and very smelly.

could it be that he is dribbling more and the saliva and the formula dont mix well together - maybe it is worse in the evening as he is lying totally flat!

My DS2 did the projectile vomiting thing at night but it was put down to overfeeding i.e. he would feed and feed until he dropped to sleep - didn't seem to know when to stop but would cry for more - HV said he would grow out of it and he did (can't remember what age though - sorry) I would see doctor or HV though just to get it checked up on.
