My friends 9 month old is being really sick. the dr says its because she's teething. she's got 9 teeth already and hasn't been like this. has anyone else ever heard of teething causing sickness? shes a small baby anyway and can't afford to loose more weight.

Have never heard of teething making a baby sick, think your friend should get a second opinion if it carries on longer then 24 hours if not earlier, especially if shes small. The fact that she has cut 9 teeth would suggest that her teeth come through quite easily, my DD is 14 months and has cut 8 teeth, but she has very thick gums. Hope your friends baby gets better soon.

Hi Yarrow - If your friend is anxious I suggest that she goes back to the doctor - I've not heard of teething making a baby sick! Teething can be associated with a runny nose though - and I have found that when my daughter has a runny nose she is often sick (this seems to help her clear the mucus). It is worrying though when they're sick!!
