DD2 is a nightmare, not sleeping through the night keeping us up al hours!! I am a reck and dont see the light at the end!! We are waiting for her to get gromits for her ears as she is pron to ear infections.
It has been going on for nearly a month now.. She will go to bed, but wakes up every hour screaming. I have tried everything and nothin is working. We have 2 other chrildren and it is really affecting us all.
IS there anyone that has gone through this (which i am sure there is) please tell me there will be an end.

I am sitting here typing this and my eyes are closing!

Awww

How old is she?

Broken sleep is a killer, much sympathy

Momma23 · 07/02/2009 17:42

She is 2.3
I can deal with anything but on no sleep doing small things like picking up toys are a struggle.

Oh gosh this sounds awful for you all. Do you think she is waking and screaming because she is in pain ?

BoysAreLikeDogs · 07/02/2009 17:46

Have you been to the doctor this time? If another ear infection is causing her pain then antibiotics will clear. Might be worth a trip to A and E - ring NHS direct for advice

IN the meantime calpol/brufen to keep the pain at bay?

Momma23 · 07/02/2009 17:53

She is just off an antibiotic, awaiting the apt for the gromits which will be another 2 wks. Sometimes it is like the ears and i try to sooth her and give her calpol/brufen but to not effect. I have tried all sorts calpol/brufen, dozol, etc. Other times she is like she is asleep and goes crazy.
She was always a great sleeper and during the day she is fine.

Just looked up the night terrors and it really sounds like this is what is happening. The only thing that does'nt add up is she is having them all night.

They can be more prone to night terrors when overtired. get her into bed very early for a few nights - as early as you possibly can. 6pm etc. This may help. If she has been unwell she will be very overtired and in my experience - it sort of builds up and then needs several nights to sort out.

Good luck.

Put her to bed at 8.30 and she is after waking there crying, eyes closed and hard to settle. This is the start of a long night, feel so down about it.
I have moved a TV into her room to see if that help at 3-4 in the morning!
