DD is 17 months old and on the whole we have been very lucky with her sleeping through at an early age. For the last week or so she has started getting very upset when it is bed time and cries as soon as you mention bedtime or try and put her in her cot.
She won't lay down and will stand up straight away. We have tried cuddles, reading a book and bringing her back down stairs and then trying again a bit later.
She seems to alternate between being sleepy and yawning then next minute being wide awake and wanting to play.
She was poorly last week and also is teething so I have been giving her some Calpol before bed. She goes down for her afternoon sleep with absolutely no problem.
Last night we resorted to driving round in car and she was asleep in 10 mins. Woke up when we got back and was all smiles when we put her in cot and went straight to sleep! But obviously don't want to resort to that every night.
Any suggestions or advice greatfully received! Sorry for long post.
