26 month gap - bugaboo with buggy board (and seat) a good option?

Hi there

My DD will be 26 months when DC is born. In an ideal would I would like a Phil & Ted's but dont really want to splash out esp as I think its nice for the baby to start looking out at 6 months.

Do you think I could make do with a double (side by side) buggy which a friend has given me, then maybe get a buggy board (with also possibly a seat - a twoo) for my bugaboo a bit later on when DD is, say 2, and a half

Has anyone used the bugaboo buggy board, and seat for their toddler?

Would appreciate any feedback

Thanks

We were given a Bugaboo to use with ds [grateful emoticon] I bought the Bugaboo board for dd to use with it (worth having a look in the next John Lewis sale as I got mine with £15 knocked off because the box was a bit battered). When I bought it dd was still using a buggy at 3.5, but we don't have a car and walk everywhere. We attatched the buggy board but only used it for 2 days before taking it off. Dd was just too big for it! I think it would work better with an age gap like yours. If the Bug is being used in carrycot mode though it can be a bit of a squeeze for the standing child- using it as a travel system, or with the seat unit gives them a lot more room.

DD is 5.5 and is still known to use the bugaboo buggy board when we're walking long distances. She either stands inside the handlebar (is a cameleon so extendable) or sits on the board. Is perfectly comfortable.

We've had the bug and the board since dd was 2.5 and ds was tiny. Money well spent.
