does anybody elses 8 yr DD still constantly have to be reminded about pleases and thank yous. Any tips on how to tackle it - it's driving me mad!!!!!!

ignore her unless she asks nicely, and when she remembers, smile and say 'of course' and do whatever it is?

my 8yo dd (9 tomorrow) gets the eyebrow raise, y'know the one, which jogs her memory...

obviously with the thank you, you need to keep hold of whatever it is you passed(whilst she's hanging onto it lol) until she 'remembers'

tried the ol' ignorning trick - doesn't work, and I feel that I shouldn't have to keep reminding her. She's nearly 8 and knows right from wrong generally. Just wish the penny would drop! DD2 who's 2 years younger just does it automatically.
