Sorry, probably wrong place to post.

Not my DS, someone else's, so ideas around £10 or under please. I am clueless as it's all fairies and princesses at our house

TIA.

A marble run.

Ohforfoxsake · 20/01/2009 14:51

Spiderman pjs

paolosgirl · 20/01/2009 14:52

A light sabre? Never met a 4 year old boy (indeed, a boy of any age) who can resist a light sabre. M and S do one for around a tenner.

Flibbertyjibbet · 20/01/2009 14:54

Anything Spiderman, Transformers, Power Rangers, Remote control car, character watch, Power Rangers dvd, Ben 10 stuff...

thats more or less the list of stuff that ds2 got for his 4th birthday last month and was thrilled to bits with each item!!

Chopchopmissy · 20/01/2009 14:55

The biggest present ever!

Weeteeny · 20/01/2009 14:57

my DS was four on saturday

Things that he received and loved at that price or under are

batman pencil case with pencils, rubber and notepad etc
jigsaws (60 piece Spiderman & 100 piece)
Floor puzzle (map of the world with pics)
power rangers dress up

Generally I would say anything power ranger, spiderman or batman related he will love!

OrmIrian · 20/01/2009 14:59

Playmobil. They do some lovely dragons and knight things. And dinosaurs. DS#2's favourite stuff.

alphabetsoup · 20/01/2009 15:57

or cars, or a toy digger ?

Neeerly3 · 20/01/2009 15:59

defo Ben 10 - my 4yo DT's got the Omnitrix each and lots of figurines, plus ben 10 pj's and ben 10 slippers etc etc etc - a marketing company's dream!

Spiderman

Tesco do some great remote control toys for the bath - they do a "how cool is this?" range.

Flibbertyjibbet · 20/01/2009 16:03

Slight HiJack, but Neeerly3, if you have two of the omintrix do you have any instructions .

Ours must have got put out with all the wrapping paper and DS1 is annoyed that his mum and dad don't know how to work it

If you have them is there anyway you could scan and email to legoates @ tiscali .co .uk

You have nooooo idea how grateful I would be

Neeerly3 · 20/01/2009 16:09

well now flibberty, you may be in luck, let me have a hunt at home. We did TRY to save all instructions from our flood of xmas toys, but some may have been lost in the recent clear out in prep for baby 3......I would uncross fingers while typing though, you may get cramp before I reply tomorrow!

Flibbertyjibbet · 20/01/2009 16:11

Ok will cross toes instead

anything ben 10, lego, playmobil, wall e related, bakugans,

Sycamoretree · 20/01/2009 17:54

Thanks ladies - SO helpful.

I have never even heard of Ben 10 so that was an excellent tip off.

I am going to choose between:

How Cool Is This remote control van

Hot Wheels WWE Playset

Ben 10 Omnitrix - will he still like this if he doesn't have cartoon network and has never seen it?

Power Rangers Operation Overdrive Hero Set.

for those of you interested enough to vote on my list!

Ignore the human torso - that's for DD who is going through an "inquisitive" phase

Flibberty sorry chick, searched high and lo, even recruited the boys themselves to look, but to no avail!

I would keep an eye on the Bandai website though, they do update with downloadable instructions for toys quite frequently.

Dozymare · 21/01/2009 10:50

Star Wars lego goes down a treat!

frasersmummy · 21/01/2009 10:55

This list is excellent.. but I thought would add Fireman's unifrom.. conplete with backpack that you can fill with water and shoot atpeople

my nearly 4 year old son lives in his!!!

The ben10 thing made me laugh cos we got a magazine in this morning and there was an advert on the back. Ds says oh look ben10... that was the first I had heard of it too

Smee · 21/01/2009 11:34

Go to a pound shop and buy those plastic key rings you can clip on your belt )the type that have old fashioned coiled expanding bits on. I got five for a £1 and DS loves them - makes barriers, ropes, hurdles for his cat. Best cheapest present I've ever got..

Flibbertyjibbet · 21/01/2009 12:22

Aw, thanks for looking!
He went to bed with the darned thing on last night, we could hear it bleeping every few minutes for ages.

I had never heard of Ben10 either and we have never had it on our tv. But they hear about things from the boys at nursery.

This morning he was being a 'Pink Power Ranger Ben 10'

Neeerly3 · 21/01/2009 12:52

oh my two are power rangers too, blue and red, but i draw the line at them watching it - have you seen it, RUBBISH! Mine defo picked up ben 10 from nursery, but then we found it on cartoon network and they hooked on a saturday morning while daddy cooks the weekends meals!

Smee · 21/01/2009 13:05

I got an second hand pink power ranger for my son. The head swivels from helmet on to helmet off. Very bizarre. T'was a vague attempt to redress the balance on my part and it's his favourite .

Flibbertyjibbet · 21/01/2009 13:12

Power Rangers is fine by me - since I accidentally caught an episode of Bratz at a friends house the other week!
