Crawling for beginners!

Hi. My DD is 5 months and has been rolling for the last mnth or so. In the last week she has started getting up on hands and knees and will try to move.

This normally results in her pushing with her legs but not moving her arms and falling flat on her face! Cue lots of screaming!

I'm not sure what to do!? She has a really soft play mat with lots of padding.

How long does this stage normally take?? Anything I can do to help?

It can take ages, sorry. Average age for crawling is about 7 months I think, but don't wish that time away, God it is all so much easier when they can't move!

I know. It was much easier even before the rolling began ... knowing that she would stay where she was put. Even tho she can't crawl, if I leave the room even for a second, she will have rolled across the room! Am enjoying watching her take it at her own pace but I can see the frustration in her face and just want to help!!
