Milk war!

DD is 16mo and I was wondering if there is a mimimum amount of milk she needs a day. She was taking 8oz from her beaker in the morning and than 8-9oz.

Her latest attempt at testing boundries is to have a good slug while reclined on her bean bag and then fling it saying all done.

Minutes later she wants it again lying on Daddys tummy and flings it again.

I may need advice on behaviour as well what I was going to do was give her three attempts and then take it away if she is just messing with it.

Advice appreciated.

I think the official advise is a pint of mint a day until 2 years old.

However, my DD hasn't has a drop of milk since 11 months old when I stopped breastfeeding. I have just come to the conclusion that she doesn't like cows milk to drink and I accept it

She does have yoghurts, cheese and milk on her weetabix in the morning though, and she's doing fine.

I wouldn't push it - if your DD doesn't want it just take it away. But keep offering... it may just be a phase.
And make sure she gets dairy in other forms.

Milk not mint

Oh and I agree the 3 attempts thing. If she's just messing with it take it away.

she might drink minted milk!!! she has her cereal and yogurts but i always worry about the amount of salt in cheese I'll see how it goes not sure if i am expecting too much at 16mo but she has just started to get cheekier so i think she is doing it to play

thank you for replying
