Can anyone else's 2.6 year old (or older) child not jump?

DS can't. Am I expecting too much of him? I thought he would be able to by now TBH.

IIRC they sort of jump like a skip where both feet are not quite together. As soon as he discovers he can jump he'll be doing it all the time and driving you nuts when he wont walk properly!

Mine didn't till she was well over 3. She's 4 now and still doesn't jump nearly as high as her friends. She's more of a sedentary sort!

My DS1 didn't jump until he was about 5 and still does only little jumps now (he's 6). I really wouldn't worry about it. He'll do it if and when he's ready.

He can't jump or skip. He just bounces up and down on his tip toes but his feet don't leave the ground.

Mine couldn't but she's only just about skipping and she's nearly 5. Her friend was a fab skipper at 3.
