My ds will be 1 on 8th of April and would like to buy him either a very special present which he can treasure for years to come or a very useful one, something he can play with and enjoy straightaway.
Any ideas ? Thank you.

we got ds a swing with an aeroplane for the swinging bit, he spent many an afternoon playing in there, it was a very useful and fun present (could even be passed down to his children).

We bought a double swing for my ds's 1st birthday(planned ahead as we always knew we'd have another!). He could use it straight away as one side had a childs seat. He is nearly 5 now & still uses it , on the flat seat! DD has the baby side now. I looked at it as an investment!
