1yo having tantrums, is this normal?

Hi,
My 1yo dd screems the house down if she doesnt get her own way, somtimes she makes herself sick. Shes seems advanced for her age she talks alot and has started linking words together but she also knows how to get her own way. I dont think we have spoilt her.Evrybody elses babys seem so well behaved, is it just mine or has any body else got an evil 1yo?

yep completley normal my ds is 17mths and has been doing this since he turned about12/13mths

Now i know im not alone, at least ive only got one, poor you, how do you cope? Takes me three hours to get my dd to sleep, takes me ages to change a nappy and the only way to shut her up is to drive around in the car!
How long will this last? (hopefully not too long or i will go mad)

def poss.lol.my ds is 15mths and been having tantrums for a while now.he screams piercing screams which seems like forever and then when hes starting to calm down is sick from being so upset.

ive tried the ignoring trick which worked most of the time with dd but sadly with him doesnt he just carries on till hes sick.lol.i just comfort him the best i can through the tantrum but still am firm and just try and calm him before he gets too bad.hes very bright but not talking much sense so most of it is due to frustration although he understands me very well.

my advice try to stay calm lol easier said than done i know and be there for them.hopefully theyll soon grow out of it.

and here was i hoping my son would be more easy going and laidback than my feisty daughter.....no such luck there then lol

I just ignore them both and live on here lol

It's not too bad. I have 3 older ones who all "tantrum" in their own special ways.

yes its normal i have a 10 month old who is starting to tantrum - throws himself backwards onto floor, arches back and screams when you try to put him in high chair or car seat, screams and cries when he cant get what he wants etc etc

She gets so bad at night that she trys to hit me and scratch my face, she pushes me away if i try to hug her but asks to be picked up, also tryed to just leave her but she screems even loader, cant seem to do anything to stop her!
