Am watching this with interest.

Myy dd (2) does this and it scares me so much. She thinks it's funny too...

You could try changing the channel!

No seriously, does she do it all the time
or only when the telly is on?

dd went through this phase, too,
but we just watched her closely and
told her 'Gently! NO hitting!'.
It meant there were tiny fingerprints on the screen
for a few months but she got bored of it soon enough.

I can understand your concern here - my ds is the same age and sometimes does the same. If it's a big telly the odds of your dd actually managing to shift it are tiny but if you are concerned then I would suggest simply switching it off.

Like all phases I'm sure it'll pass (my ds's obsession with the phone is quite a long lasting one it has to be said). Mine also has a similar reaction to "no" as yours does. I think eventually the message does sink in - you just have to say it a lot. Like about 500 times.

Would she still do it if you covered it with a cloth when off do you think?
