Driving along today and a little voice pipes up from the back seat:

Oranges and Lemons, say the farts of St Clemens
You owe me five farthings, say the farts of St Martins
When will you pay me, say the farts of Old Bailey
When I grow rich, say the farts of Shoreditch
When will that be, say the farts of Stepney
I do not know say the great farts of Bow.

Almost crashed the car I was laughing so hard. DD is 2.7, not sure what made her think to substitute farts for bells but oh my it is funny.

My DC delight in saying to DH:

"Hello Vater - That's German for Father, you know'.

Because the V is pronounced as F.

Chippy, do your DC know about the signs on German motorways telling drivers to have "eine gute Fahrt"?

Brilliant thread - you have made my evening, stumbled upon the whilst looking for threads on demanding bossy 2.5yr olds - this is much more fun!

My DD is 2.5 and usually announces, 'Pardon me, I have popped' or 'poo smelly' if anyone else in the household farts.....

I love the new rendition of Oranges and Lemons....
