It is really common for children to get the runs when they are teething. Keep the fluids up, make sure that she is as comfortable as possible, slaver a load of vaseline on her bum to try to prevent nappy rash and sit it out.

Of course, if it goes on for a long while or you suspect it is not related to the teething, take her to the doc, but it is really, really common and it is probably related to teething.

you're not going to put me out of my misery about the sex of your child then?

lilymolly · 06/01/2009 22:14

Yep common in this house along with nappy rash

bustle · 06/01/2009 22:15

Yes, definitely. Try Ashton and Parson's teething powders - don't know what's in them but they're magic! Stop the runs as well as the teething pain. We bought them from Boots when dd's were tiny.

twilight21 · 06/01/2009 22:24

Hey Bustle second you we found them very good when our dd was teething

bustle · 06/01/2009 22:45

The reaction was so amazing twighlight I tried one myself to see how good it was. Didn't do much for me though

twilight21 · 06/01/2009 22:50

i'm glad it did for her tho cos its such a crappy time for them!! Seems they are only like that when your partner is bloody away ha ha or did you have one of those perfect husbands who got up in the night ha ha

bustle · 06/01/2009 22:55

No, my dh is often away as well, and when he's here he doesn't often get up in the night to them, it's normally me.

twilight21 · 06/01/2009 22:57
