She is 38 weeks and so restless - she wont sit still on my lap any more, she wont lie happily on her back, she is going through the SA phase so squeals if I leave her sight. She is ok if sitting up but invariably falls over at one point.
I found today that she is absolutely dying to stand and probably walk as well but her legs are not strong enough yet.
She's obviously massively frustrated - is there anything I can do???

Oh and it doesnt help that she wakes 6 times a night on average...

If she is happy sitting work on that - prop her up with cushions or use a baby nest type thing. Put lots of toys within grasping distance so that she reach out to get them. How about a boucer chait that you can take round the house with you so she can see you? String lots of toys and books to it or dangle some infromt of her from a string (out of reach so she can't strangle herself). Other option is a sturdy play pen - she can then try to pull herself up on the bars and cruise round in circles when she is ready.

Seeline, thanks for posting. i was having a rough day yesterday. much better today. the bouncy chairs were great but she is now too big for them. i have a play pen and i have made a play area on the floor so she can roll around safely.
