Why is my toddler such an arse?

Rhetorical question really.

I got so sick of him testing me this evening that I put him to bed at 6pm.

His father just to say a stern word to him and he's as good as gold. I say a stern word and he laughs at me and carries on doing what he was doing but with added gusto.

Sigh.

Lol. How old is he?

dd was a terror as a toddler, she's now a (mostly) very delightful nearly 4 year old. Deep breath and tell yourself "it's a phase, this will pass"

Nemoandthefishes · 02/01/2009 20:28

they do that and sometimes can have a week of being horrible..mine were all put to bed at 6.30

geraldinetheluckygoat · 02/01/2009 20:29

my ds2 is also an arse! Ds1 is just cocky. It's what they do best

Think yourself lucky - my DS takes the mick out of both of his poor old parents. At least you have your DH to strike terror into your DS's heart.

He's 20 months, not even 2 yet!

I just wish I could bottle whatever DP has because he's hardly ever here so I can't use him very often. Today I tried "do you want me to tell Daddy what a naughty boy you've been?", to which he replied "yeah". What can you do?

It is a phase, it will pass, it is a phase, it will pass, it is a phase, it will pass, it will pass, it is a phase, it will pass, it is a phase, it will pass, it is a phase,

oh I know how you feel!

My elder one was a total nightmare from the age of about 10 months when he could walk.

He is a little bit easier now he is 5...

my second is now 18mo and pretty good really. He's been slower at everything though so maybe it is waiting to hit...
