Advice on getting ds2 15m into a bedtime routine

He sleeps wonderfully BUT i want him to have a routine, I never have been bothered by it but DP is starting work soon and I will need to be up and taking ds1 to school lol.

He sleeps from 11-9 sometimes from 7.30 until 8am.

Any ideas on getting him to go to sleep in my room in his cot rather than the living room in the travel cot?

just do it, he might not like it at first but will get used to it eventually
the most important bit is to establish the routine leading up to bedtime, like bath, cuddle, feed etc so he knows when bedtime is coming, doesn't really matter where he goes to sleep, he just needs his cues.

Pure, if i give him his last meal at around 6.30 then a shower( he hates baths but loves showers) get him dry and in his pjs with a bottle in his travel cot he will be asleep by 7.30-8.15 and sleep through.

So maybe i should do that everynight???

yes, that's why it's called a routine

lol I know that, but with ds1 (now 10) i had no routine at all and he slept well, got up well etc but ds2 is so so so different.

both mine were different too, but DS was 7 when DD arrived so he was already in a routine with school and stuff so DD had to fit in, she had no choice

Pure, ds1 is well and truely into a routine, but dp was taking ds1 to school, but his new job won't allow that.
