With it being Christmas we have been to see a lot of people and had people over. On Christmas day and Boxing day she got very miserable when we were out and was fine when we got home.

Is this something to worry about or just a phase? Normally we go out quite a lot and see different people, maybe it has been too much for her.

Poor thing was probably just knackered! Lots of different people, stimulation, excitement etc. I'm usually quite glad to get home after all the festive visiting too .

But if she does keep it up after Christmas just been warned that babies can develop separation anxiety at about 6 months where they suddenly find new faces and being passed to different people very scary. Don't worry though, it is just a phase. My dd started screaming when people picked her up at almost exactly 6 months old and it carried on for a couple of months. Now at nearly 10 months she has morphed back into the confident, happy baby around other people again.

Don't worry - pretty much everything at this age is just a phase!
