Hi everyone
this is my first post so helllooooo All .

My dd 21months has always slept 12hrs a night & had a 2hr nap a day until a month ago when i moved her into a big bed (so dd2 could have the cot). She has had no prob with the transition into the bed but when DH goes to work at 5.30 she wakes & is up for the day ( no nap! ) .. she was always a light sleeper in the morning but would chatter for a few mins when she heard him leave & then settle herself back to sleep. Now tho it seems like she feels less secure so will sit in the bed shouting & shouting "Mammmmmmmyyy" over&over until i go get her ( she wont sleep in our bed so thats not an option).. i dont mind her having dropped the nap but when she's awake since 5.30 its a nightmare cause she gets soo tied. Poor DH is tiptoeing around afraid to sneeze lol..was thinking of playing repeat CD of rain or something to drown out other noise as am aware our stairs is quite loud..
any other suggestions??

I've posted on the Early Waking thread. We definitely started when my eldest was about 2, so your dd not too young, it may take a bit of time and lots of patience. Perhaps she could help choose the lights (some great ones around at this time of year!) I always used to say to my DC's that Daddy had to go to work in the night, but we stay in bed until morning.
