How to choose shoes?

Hi all,
my baby is 9 months old and very keen on standing. She wants to start cruising too. I need to help her though - she is usually in socks or tights and it's very slippery for her as we have wood floors in the living room where she spends a fair bit of time.

I need some sort of rubber soled shoes (or rubber soled socks?) for her, but do not want to spend a fortune. Any ideas out there for what i can get her?

It's too cold to walk barefoot at ours.

primark do the no-slip socks for babies/toddlers at £1 a pair. DS1 has these as we have laminate in the kitchen.

How about these? Or if they will be too big for a 9 month old, soft leather shoes like Robeez or Shoo-Shoos would do the trick.

Boots have non-slip socks - 'totes' in baby sizes. About £6 but on 3 for 2. Friend has the primark ones, and they are virtually the same but we don't have a primark handy. John Lewis slippers are good but £11.

Baby Gap do nice thick socks with rubber bits on the bottom. We have a cold house with wood floors and DD does fine in these.

Otherwise shoo-shoos great. DD lived in hers for months. You can get them from Mothercare.

Oh thanks so much everyone! I have bought the john lewis once today before i'd read all these messages. they are £10. i think i'll give them back and get the JoJo ones as my brother lives near JoJo shop. otherwise i'll hunt down the Boots ones.

I spoke to baby gap sales assistant and she did not think they'll be rubbery enough to protect from slipping. so i did not try.
