DD, who has just turned 1, has always been a fairly independent happy little girl. However it seems that as soon as she turned 1 she grew velcro and now clings to me at every opportunity, especially when i'm out in the kitchen. She's got bad enough for me to have to either pick her up and hold her while i'm trying to cook (no ideal, obviously!) or distract her with whatever i can to just get 10 minutes peace while cooking or cleaning etc.
At the same time she's also decided that mummy doesn't need sleep any more so is now waking erratically during the night. Last night she woke up 4 times and the night before she was awake at 4am! If i bring her into our bed and put her in the middle, she wont sleep. She'll fuss and cry and moan and grumble and generally refuse to go to sleep. If i sit up and cradle her, it's a different story. She'll go off to sleep very easily. Great for her, but not so great for me and my heavy eyelids! She is normally such a great sleeper (7-7) and so we are not used to her being so out of routine!
I'm tempted to put it all down to teething as she has shown this sort of behaviour before when she's been teething, but she's not showing any classic signs of cutting another tooth. No redness of the cheeks, no dribbling, no gnawing at anything, no sore bum.
Can babies cut teeth with no symptoms except being whingey and clingy or is she just going through some separation anxiety ishoos?
Any advice/experiences would be most helpful. If you can also spare some matchsticks for my eyes, that would be of great help too......
