My DS is just coming up to 1 and has a new habit of grinding his teeth together

It's like finger nails on a blackboard to me and quite apart from that I'm wondering what damage it's doing to his 8 tiny teeth !

Has anyone else had this and found a way to stop it?

The only solution is to give him his dummy but we're trying to weaning him off that so it's not ideal.

Help?!!

My ds has started that too, although he was a bit older. If you are worried see your gp- I know you can get guards that go over the teeth, but 1 yo may be too young. Take heart in the fact that he will get new ones in a few years, so if he grinds these away he has spares lol

Nothing really useful to suggest though

My dd is nearly one and has also been grinding her teeth. I think it's due to her teething but the noise makes me feel a bit sick!
No advice, sorry.
