Button learning tip for 4 year old

Ah at last I've figured. Get button up P.J's and lead them through the process with fingers in the hole first and holding button in other hand. Couldn't do this in the morning as we have to rush for nursery and work. This method has worked a treat. Took him two days to learn. & lovely

So they pull the button back through with their fingers? DD has big problems with buttons...

nofunanymore, yes. Do your own buttons very slowly and you'll see. The important thing I think is practice without pressure which for us is the evening and can happen every night if you buy say three P.J's. I was really surprised he did it so quickly (this has not yet been his pattern for learning.) I was prepared to teach him all year. I now have the wipe bum lessons to get through to him . he says his arms are too short!!!
