HI, DS (15 months) has been taking little steps for a few weeks. After about two or three he'll drop to the floor and start to crawl again. Last week however he walked about 10-12 steps right across the living room and I thought that we had turned a corner.
The next day I was expecting him to be the same and he has gone right back to the two or three steps and then crawling again. He hasn't done the long walk since.

Is it normal for children to regress a bit dd (6yr) Walked at 11 months and didn't look back.

Yup. Completely normal. My DS did this after his first long walk. In fact, it was about three weeks of crawling again before he walked again. He's two next week and is running around with the rest of the kids his age. I think boys can be a bit lazier about it all.

Is he a speedy crawler? My DS was and I think he got frustrated as it took him longer to walk the same distance. It was a good while before walking became quicker and he discovered running.

Yeah he crawls quickly. (Reminds me of Sypro the Dragon when he charges on the computer) Talking about not being as quick. The other day he got all excited about walking and tried to run and fell flat on the floor. Maybe it has put him off.
