DD (17mons) acts like a monster with me, but fine with others.

Anyone else having this problem? My DD has always been a mummies girl and become especially clingy the last month or two. But now every morning if I'm the one to get up with her she will scream and cry for no reason and nothing I do helps. If daddy gets up with her then she's happy as anything. It's the same during the day, when I'm around she is whiny and demanding, but with babysitter or grandma she's fine. DH has said he doesn't like to look after her if I'm in the room. I was hoping it's just a phase or she's teething or something, but can't see any signs.

My DS is is like this and in all honesty it was because I let him get away with it. He knew how to wind me up better than he did anyone else. ExMIL for example was the only one that could get him to bed at one point if I did it he would scream cry get out of bed etc and as at the time he was a poor sleeper I was shattered and would do anything for a quiet life.
DS is still worse with me than others but I have made a real effort not to give in and just ignore the tantrums and stuff I don't like. It has been such hard going though I feel sometimes I am constantly saying "No A*" or something similar because I had to be repetative.

I think he will always be able to wind me up more than he can anyone but I realised it was me that needed to be a bit firmer with him as basically he had learnt very early on that you can take the piss out of mummy cause she will cave first

Our ds (18 mths) has always been better behaved with other people than with me or dh.
