my little one is 9months old and has started with a cold and cough by sounds of things. this is first time he has been ill really and its knocked me 4 6 as he is usually a happy baby. he had a bottle this morning and abit of porridge for breakfast but then brought it straight up. i decided not to give him his dinner just milk, was this the right thing to do? shall i keep of solids for 2day and see what he is like 2moro?? also what medicine would you recomend. i gave him some calpol earlier

my little one (10.5 months) has been a bit poorly with a cough and a cold too and he also brought up his dinner the other night. I decided just to stick to milk and gave calpol...Think this is ok - but if it persists you could go to the dr or ask the pharmasist (sp??) for advice.

When my ds is sick I give him buttered toast or dry cereal - something very light and non-offensive until he's over the worst of it. I also keep him off milk and stick to water until he's over it, but as your lo is only 9mths, you will probably have to keep giving him milk.

thanks for advice, i have just continued with milk and he has been fine since, got a raging temp so been give calpol. he has never been poorly like this, its awful!!! nipped into boots early to get some medicine and will get in touch with docs 2moro if no better. xxxxxxxxxx
