waking at night

my ds2 is 16 weeks old and has been sleeping through at night from ten weeks with a dream feed at ten. The last two weeks he has started waking for the dream feed taking 8 oz and then waking at two. I try to settle him with his dummy at two which works only for him to wake at three and then he will not settle till he is fed in which he then takes another 8 oz!! He then sleeps through till 7.30!! I am not sure what to do whether he is just going through a growth spurt or what.

do what works best my ds was on one feed a night then went to 2 around same time as yours and just went with it if it keeps him settled

he soon went back to just one and stayed at one for along time and then back to 2 at around 18mths and then stopped altogether

seemed to be around the growth spurts he needed more

Most babies usually have a growth spurt around 16 weeks - my DS went mental at this age, and would have 15oz before going to bed at 7pm, then another 8oz every 4 hours through the night.

thanks guys i did think this was what it was but could not be sure so think i am just going to go with it and feed him. he is not a very big baby so if he needs it then im not goingto hold back. i do remember with my dd1 that you think you have got it all sussed and then they throw you and change it all!!! just keeping us on our toes i guess.
