Would like to get FP Touch and Feel Farm or Animal Choo Choo Train but want something that will keep DS amused for more than a few days and not take too much space. Are these good choices for one year old.

sounds nice
I'm attaching this thread even though it's for 6 month olds it has some toy suggestions that might still be appropriate.

For my DD1's first Christmas we bought a dolly and pram- she still uses now (3) and all the 1 year old boys try to take it off her in the park...just a thought.

Penny I know you said you wanted something that wouldn't take up much space well it doesnt really but This is one of the best toys we ever bought!

My son got it when he was about 6 months old and still uses it occassionally (now 2.5YO) it is about 3 feet tall and about 3 foot wide total guess depth wise though it is only about 30 cms at widest part.

We keep it down the side of our sofa when not being played with.

It is great fun though, it's about £60 new though but Id say worth it, it sings songs, has a little pipe that you put the balls down, a shape sorter and a postbox that sings songs and the door opens and the sun spins from day to night. My LO puts it to night time when he goes to bed and sunshine when he gets up
