Why does my DD have a tantrum at approx 8.40am every day

give or take 10 mins

She wakes up at 7am so not tiredness, she's only recently finished her breakfast so not hunger......

It usually starts with something really trivial - for instance today she was sat on my knee and we were reading books. I put on down so I could get on with tidying up the breakfast stuff and she has a complete melt down that went on for 10 minutes.

What is this all about?

Could it be she's just not a morning person...?

Well, I think you answered your own question. She throws a tantrum when you leave her on her own. She wants all of your attention and by throwing a fit, she gets it.

How old is she?

Yes I understand that - but normally she would winge for a bit but be easily distracted with a toy...

But at 8.40ish in the morning it REALLY upsets her and she can't be consoled easily...and it always ends up in a massive screaming/crying fir. Just wondered why she gets so upset at thsi time more than any others....

Sounds to me like she might just be more tired at this time - what are her sleep patterns like?
