DD2 tried to unscrew the light switch ...

And I'm still feeling shaky.

During the course of a short telephone call this afternoon, DD2, aged 3, came across a screwdriver that was lying around, decided to "play builders" and succeeded in unscrewing the screws on the living room light switch sufficiently that the fuse blew.

I am so grateful to whoever it was that invented fuses. It is making my blood run cold when I think about what might have happened if she'd started digging around inside

Don't know why I'm posting this really. But if anyone else has screwdrivers lying around, please don't underestimate what your kids are capable of

Poor you. I'm glad she is ok, my DD is a curious daredevil too.

Thanks! Am still amazed that she managed to undo it. Think I'll enquire whether nursery are using screwdrivers as a teaching tool!!!

Wow what a clever girl! How scary for you though. At least she'll be an independant young lady eho knows how to do stuff like that, I still wouldn't have a clue!
