Teething?

My baby boy has recently been quite irritable during the day and up until now, I have put it down to hunger / tiredness, however, he was sitting on my this morning and suddenly latched on to my finger and really started chewing on it (previously he would just suck). Does anyone know if this is a sign of teething or if it's just another thing he has learnt to do? I also tried rubbing his gums earlier when he was crying and he did stop crying. He has been putting everything into his mouth, however, I thought this was normal for a baby of his age (4 months). Does teething keep babies awake at night because he is still sleeping through from 8pm to 6.30am?

Thanks in advance!

There are so many signs of teething so this could be the reason. you can use bongela and maybe get him a teething ring, see if that helps. My daughter (now 8months) didnt really get any symptoms except being abit more irritable during the day.
Sorry that i cant be more help than that!
