DD is 12 weeks today and they have been (as they say) both the best and worst times (my first DC, obviously). As far as i can DD is pretty normal, but what gets better/worse from here?

Originally posted this is Sleep but want to know more general stuff too.

Our DS was a nightmare in the early days, constant screaming and just generally very unsettled. Everyone kept telling me it would get easier from 12 weeks onwards and I was really disappointed when it didn't.

For us, we had a bit of a turning point at 4 months when he calmed down a little. Also, they start to become much more interactive, 'chatty', can be entertained for longer periods, start to roll etc, etc. So I've found it easier to keep him occupied and distracted when he's grumpy, or hungry etc, etc.

I was also expecting our DS to magically sleep through the night, but it didn't happen and at 8mo, he's only ever slept through once! He's now just starting to try and crawl so the days of leaving him in one place while I get stuff done round the house are over!!

Good luck with your DD
