Barbie films - what's suitable for a 3 yr old to watch?

My dd was given the Barbie DVD The Princess & the Pauper for her birthday which she adores. She has been a really good girl going to playgroup and nursery this week (which recently, we have had buckets of tears over) so DH came home tonight with the new Diamond Castle DVD for her as a treat...big mistake!! There is a dragon in it which sent her into hysterics and we had a real job getting her off to sleep tonight as a result.... Woke up in a total shaking sweat crying about the dragon.

Which Barbie films aren't scarey? SIL is buying her Rapunzel for Xmas - will she freak over that too? Do they all contain scarey creatures which may upset really little ones? Feel so sad I didn't vet the film first as she can be a bit sensitive.

off the top of my head Dancing princesses, Mariposa are good

I am planning on buying Diamond Castle for DD for Crimbo - but then again she is not phased by anything!

Would recommend Mariposa - DD's favourite along with Princess & the Pauper.

Rapunzel is lovely. It does has a dragon in it. a cute friendly one. but the wicked stepmother is quite unpleasant and scary.

But the Princess and the Pauper has that nasty butler and his side kicks who trap them in the mine, doesn't it? scary stuff.

I second the 12 Dancing Princesses. Also try The Nutcracker, lovely dancing in that one, but has a scary mouse, and Swan Lake, again nice dancing, but a scary man/bird. the good thing about those two are that they have the original tchaikovsky ballet music. The Magic of Pegasus is one to avoid, there's an ogre in that one which even my girls were scared of and made me fast forward that scene every time!! The Island Princess is quite tame, as are the fairytopia and mermaidia ones. Haven't seen the Diamond castle, my daughters seem to be growing out the Barbie films now. It's High School Musical (1, 2 and 3) all the way now!

Island Princess is nice (a bit of a 'cryer' at the end).

Can't think of anything too scary in it but then my 3yr old is not generally fazed by much on tv (although she has not seen the Diamond Castle one).
