14 month old having tantrums

My ds is 14 month and is having about 3 tantrums a day, he will be playing and anything seems to set him off, he starts screaming at the top of his voice and crying uncotralbley.

I have tried telling him that when he has stopped crying that mummy will pick him up, but it just seems to make him worse, i think he might be to young to understand yet, he has a twin sister, who i feel is getting neglected due to his outbursts, what is the best way to handle these outbursts !!

I suspect that he may be a bit too young for that approach tbh. I don't think that it is bad to make them wait occasionally if you are seeing to something else, but they still want comfort.

Does he have any kind of comfort toy or anything?

My little boy is 13 months and has major tantrums. I'm starting to discover that if I leave him to it he gets over it (provided he isnt hungry or tired). Its not easy listening to him scream and it doesnt always work but I am definitley making some progress! Good luck

Hi ladymuck, the only comfort he has is his dummy, we have done quite well today as only had 1 tantrum, that is progress !!
