Question about teeth - not sure if this is the right topic really ...

My 6.5 year old has had a huge gappy smile for a few months, after having lost his top two front teeth. Today he has just lost the incisor next to the gap, but I can't see any sign of his adult teeth coming through. How long does it take? The bottom front ones came through straight away after he lost his baby teeth.

Thanks for advice!

absolutely don't worry at all. eruption of the adult incisors can take ages, just keep waiting, 6.5 is too early to worry. mention it at your next checkup and your dentist may want to take a quick xray to check there is nothing stopping them coming through, but this is not often needed

My 13 yr old has been to a orthadontist today as he is not loosing his baby teeth, he has only lost 4 teeth, we are now being transferred to the hospital, as the specialist thinks that not only are his teeth not falling out, he has some adult teeth missing, and his bottom jaw is mis-aligned, any advice about what could be in store.

Sorry to hear that Jel, hope all goes well for you. Incidentally, my DS has now lost all four teeth at the front top, but there is at last a sign of something poking through. Poor thing is having a bit of trouble eating though with such a wide gap!
