What's a reasonable time to put my daughter to bed? she's 3.5 and usually goes at 6pm. She was kept up way past her bed time last night due to fireworks.
She's come home from nursery quite demanding. She's had her dinner so is 5pm too early?

wont she then wake starving at 4am?

sammybeth · 06/11/2008 16:36

If shes tired and happy to go i dont see why not.

sammybeth · 06/11/2008 16:37

My ds age 2.4 fell asleep at 5:30 the other day without having any dinner and still slept til 7am.

LIZS · 06/11/2008 16:37

I'd try to last he rout for another hour or so , or she'll wake too early

mummyloveslucy · 06/11/2008 16:39

I don't think so, she never wakes up at night.
I leave a glass of water for her beside her bed, just in case but she never drinks it. I might leave some buiscits too tonight.

I think I'll leave her for a while, she's curled up with her blanket watching cbeebies at the moment, so she's relaxing.

You are so lucky if you put yours to bed at that time and she sleeps through !! mine is 21mths and goes to bed at 1930 - she has supper at 17.00 at nursery and a bottle of milk at 18.30

needmorecoffee · 06/11/2008 16:42

would you like to swap. dd goes to bed at 10pm and failry often wakes yelling at 5am

singyswife · 06/11/2008 16:43

I would do it. My dd2 often did this if her routine had been thrown and she never suffered for it

UpJacobscreek · 06/11/2008 16:44

My dd age 2.10 sometimes drops off at 5.30 instaed of 6.00pm and always sleeps through until 6.00am .

mummyloveslucy · 06/11/2008 16:45

Yes, I am lucky. She's been like it since she was 2 months old.
I might not be so lucky second time around.

Now I can see why your name is "needmorecoffee" - am feeling your pain right now..... 10pm is when my DD went to sleep last night

needmorecoffee · 06/11/2008 17:07

dd never goes off before 10. She's 4. I just don't get it. My other 3 did!

minkybetty · 06/11/2008 17:12

Wow you sound like a super mum

rachels103 · 06/11/2008 17:18

I should wish...........

mummyloveslucy · 06/11/2008 18:08

She's in now, I tucked her in at 5:30pm. It's only half an hour early. She wasn't happy though, she hadn't watched charlie and Lola. So I had to read her the book.
She did look really tired though bless her, and she went out like a light.
