Repeats one syllable, so:

cat = catcat
car = carcar
raisins = rayray
Night Garden = gargar
Tombliboos = booboo
shoe = shoeshoe
sock = socksock

You get the picture!

Yep but only certain words she used to say cat cat, chair chair and mum mum. It's only words she really liked.

whomovedmychocolate · 03/11/2008 21:37

She now repeats words only for effect. In particular

bugger, BUGGER BUGGER BUGGER BUUUUGGGGER!

CarGirl · 03/11/2008 21:37

yes her comfort toy is called dogdog

My ds says 'mum mum' never just 'mum' and when I ask a question he answers with 'yeah yeah' not just 'yes', that's all he says at the moment but it does sound like it's quite common!

Funny isn't it, I find it quite cute.
