Controlled Crying???

Hi All,
What age do we think it's appropriate to leave them to cry once fed etc and does it work???

I think the earliest it's recommended is 9m

I did it with dd1 at 6m (on advice of HV) though it did work in 6 days

DD2 - not a chance... the girl had a will of iron and SHE decided when she would sleep through the night
