baby acne seems to be itchy - any hints how to relieve discomfort

My 6 week old girl has quite severe baby acne over her whole face and chest. She seems to be trying to scratch it against my chest by rubbing from side to side and is in great discomfort. Any hints how to deal with it?

Speak to your HV/GP but i would try an oatmeal wash, put some oatmeal in a bit of nylon tights and swish and squeeze it in a bowl of reasonably hot water, the water will go cloudy then when the water is a nice temp, use a wash cloth dipped in it to wipe on the baby, avoiding her mouth and eyes.
