1 year old waking in the night

My 1 year daughter used to sleep really well but has now started waking every night for about 2 hours. We go in to check she is ok but don't get her out but she carries on moaning. This has been going on for about 3 weeks now and is driving us crazy. Does anyone have any similar experiences/suggestions? Thanks.

Teeth? My DD2 is waking in the night at lot more than usual at the moment, and I am putting it down to teeth.

My ds started waking up recently as well, we put it down to his molars coming through, now they are through he is back to sleeping fine

Mine has been doing this lots too... but has had a cold, teething and nearly walking on own now - Oh and only wants to be by my side!

Me too. Ever since ds started to stand, he wakes, stands up and can't get back down again, despite being able to get himself back down during the day. Also he's had two stinking colds in a row which isn't helping his (or mine) sleep.

We've pretty much tried everything but nothing seems to work apart from Medised. I don't particularly want to be giving medicine every night for no tangible reason. She always seems to have a cold and could be teething so it could be any of those I suppose.

Lumama no advice I'm afraid but my ds is exactly the same so you're not alone! x

Ds2 is 14m and has recently started waking as well. He has 4 teeth coming through so i put it down to this...he also has had one cold after another for the last few weeks which I put down to teething as well.

He also is walking alone and very very clingy to me.

LOL wouldn't be so bad if

i) I had not forgotten what it was like after so long (ds1 is 10yrs old)
ii) he had not slept all the way through since he was 2 weeks old!!! now we have hit 14m and he is waking!!!

Lumama - also no advice but it could be worse! My DD1 is a year old, she slept thru for about a week before starting to wake up like yours is now. Thats 51 weeks of torture. At least you know yours CAN sleep through and its hopefully just a short phase...
Does this make you feel a bit better???!
